Your Child Is Important To UsYour child should begin visiting the dentist as soon as they have their first tooth has erupted. This allows us to make sure your child's teeth are developing normally, and can allow us to correct development problems before treatments become extensive.
We can help you learn to care for your child's teeth, as well as teach you which bad habits your child may have that could lead to cavities. |
What To Say?Fear of the unknown is the scariest! We encourage your child to know what we're doing and how it helps them, but in a way that they can understand without big scary words like "doctor", "exam", and "cavity". Before you bring your child in, let them know that the dentist is going to count their teeth and make sure there are no toothbugs! You can also let them know that we have a prize waiting for them at the end of their visit, and they may even be able to join the No Toothbugs Club! We will take care of the rest.
Toddler Tour!It may be a surprise, but little ones are sometimes afraid to see the doctor! We want your child's experience to be happy and healthy, and we would love for them to be familiar with our office before they ever sit in the exam chair. While typically anxiety is experienced by our toddler patients, there is no age limit to come visit if you think your child (or you) would benefit from a casual visit!
